How do I get my motorola phone to recognize my new memory card?

My memory card is formatted to FAT(32). It is a sandisk 4GB. I have only mp3 songs on it and they do not work on my phone. However it does work on my friends samsung. I have a motorola V1100 unlocked. I do not have the software or chords to connect the phone to my computer. What do I do? I am not very tech savvy , so go easy on the lingo!|||The v1100 only recognizes cards up to 2GB. The card you have is too big for your phone. Sorry about that.
