How can i get my motorola phone tools to recognise my motorola L2?

My motorola phone tools wont recognise my motorla L2. how do i get it to recognise it?|||You need to update your motorola phone tools. it is aparently an older version. just go into the update and it will download the new files. then it will find the new l2 files
