How to get the latest Android Operating System on the Motorola Droid?

Well i have the Motorola droid for verizon that is still on the 2.0 operating system and i want to try getting the new 2.1 update. How can i get that software installed on my phone? Is it worth getting, (ive heard that it drops app performance in terms of the frame rates)?|||Yes its definitely worth getting, but I'm really surprised that you dont have it yet, since it came out back in March.. Android 2.2 is coming out soon by the way. Good luck.|||Do a "Check for Updates" from the Setup menu. It's in there someplace. If it doesn't offer you an update, there isn't one available for your model yet. When the 2.2 (Froyo) update is available, you'll get a notification on the phone.|||You just need to go to the about section in the settings and there should be an update option.
