Will a Motorola headset and mic work with a PS3?

I have a Motorola mic used to talk on the phone and the bottom fits into the top of the PS3 controller. Will this work during online play for talking? Or, does it have to be installed somehow?|||it will I too have a Motorola headset and it works really good to sync it all you have to do is go to the settings scroll down until you see accessory settings there just select register a bluetooth device and select headset/microphone/headphones there just select start scanning (your bluetooth has to be on) once it gets recognized it will ask for the password usually the default password is 0000 once that is done it should say register completed and you are set to use the mic|||If it is bluetooth, you can connect it to your ps3. That is what I did.
