How do you text sidedways with the touch keyboard on the motorola droid?

I just got the new motorola droid but I can't figure out how to text on the touchscreen sideways.|||Just rotate the phone on it's side. The keyboard will rotate with the phone to the landscape mode. (you must rotate the phone counter-clockwise - meaning the little "ledge" needs to be on your right, the top of the phone on your left, just like if you were to open your keyboard.





When the phone is in landscape mode (with the physical keyboard not extended), the keyboard and the area where your text appears will take up the entire screen. You won't be able to see the existing text messages. You type what you want to type, then press the send button. To make the keyboard "disappear" press the "back button" to make it re-appear, click in the text area where you want to type.|||Try tapping the typing field. If a redish-orangish border is around it, then the keyboard will appear and you should be able to type.
